Southeast Columbia is less than a 10 minute drive to downtown, which is the center for politics and the arts, offering a variety of dining, sports and entertainment venues. The Colonial Center is not only home to the USC basketball team, but numerous concerts, the circus and other annual attractions. Koger Center for the Arts, EdVenture Children’s Museum, the South Carolina State Museum, and the Columbia Museum of Art are all in downtown Columbia. In The Vista area, restaurants abound — from casual to fine French cuisine.

Just blocks from downtown Columbia is Historic Five Points, which is home to quaint shops and wonderful restaurants as well as outdoor concerts and festivals. Up the hill from Five Points, massive old oak trees line the Devine Street corridor in the heart of Shandon which boasts upscale shops and restaurants.
