The city of Sumter has come a long way since its early beginnings as a plantation settlement. Incorporated in 1845, Sumter is now the 8th largest metropolitan area in South Carolina. Our new homes in Sumter are convenient to Shaw Air Force Base and numerous downtown amenities.
