1st American Builders, Raleigh's Builder of the Year, and one of the Carolina's largest
family-owned new home builders, is pleased to announce its recent recognition at
the 2008 Raleigh-Wake County Parade of Homes event for two of their townhome
floor plans. The awards were announced at the recent Parade of Homes' awards dinner.
Both winning floor plans can be found at Renaissance Park, a community located 3 miles
south of Downtown Raleigh. Receiving the Gold Award for Parade entries priced from $200,000

2.5 baths, a loft, eat-in kitchen, separate dining room, rear-load garage and covered
patio. The Oakville townhome floor plan received the Silver Award for Parade entries
priced from $239,461 to $257,000. At 2,491 square-feet, the Oakville floor plan features
3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, a family room with breakfast nook, kitchen bar, separate dining
room and a 2-car rear-load garage.
"It's an honor to be recognized by the Raleigh HBA for our designs," said Geoff Shiley,
chief operating officer for 1st American Builders. "We have learned that to be successful
in today's market, our floor plans must reflect the styles and trends of today's buyers,
and I think both of these winning plans successfully achieve this."
