Home Builder Reports Record Month in Multiple Markets

COLUMBIA, SC. The Mungo Companies are pleased to announce a record for new home
sales in Columbia and Charleston in April 2009. Reporting 42 contracts for new
homes in Columbia, Mungo Homes broke the previous record of 37 new home sales which
was reported during the height of the housing market in April 2005. Harbor Homes
reports 19 contracts for new homes in Charleston for the month of April.
Principal Steven Mungo believes that strong home sales are a culmination of several
things. “As a company, we’ve made a concerted effort to educate the public that
this really is a great time to buy a new home. With historically low interest
rates, a great selection of available homes, and creative loan programs, people
understand the opportunities in the market. Mungo has also re-tooled product and
pricing to more accurately reflect what type of new home people want to buy now.
And people want to buy from a stable company with prominence and a strong history.
