Mungo Homes Commits $100,000 to Aid Harvest Hope

Columbia, SC. For a second year, Mungo Homes has committed as much as $100,000 to Harvest Hope Food Bank to help with an increased demand for food during these tough economic times. Harvest Hope has provided food for nearly 1.4 million people this year, but expects that demand to grow by another half million people in need. This translates to about 40 million pounds of food required for the coming months.
Harvest Hope CEO Denise Holland said, “Seeing the faces of hungry people every day is heartbreaking. You can look at these faces and see their pain and fear. It is a huge blessing once again to have this campaign.”
Mungo Homes will match every dollar raised — up to $100,000 — during the month of October.
Area businesses are encouraged to follow the lead taken by Mungo Homes and help in the relief effort.
