Steven Mungo Honored with Harrison Award
Steven Mungo recently received The Gordon A. Harrison Award at the Home Builders Association of Greater
Columbia annual gala. This award is given each year to an outstanding home builder in the spirit of
the man after whom it is named. Harrison is remembered for his high personal character and integrity,
and his commitment to helping others. Steven Mungo has been a member of the association since 1986
serving in nearly every leadership position including president in 1990. Steven is currently the
Treasurer of the Home Builders Association of South Carolina, and was inducted into the SC Housing
Hall of Fame in 2005, joining his father Michael and brother, Stewart. Steven’s work through the
Mungo Companies and through the local, state and national home builders associations have helped more
Americans reach the dream of home ownership.

from Quality Builder Warranty, which recognizes for builders that demonstrate the highest levels
of customer commitment.
Mungo Principals Nominated for 2007 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year
Mungo Homes is pleased to announce that Stewart and Steven Mungo have been nominated for the 2007
Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year. Chosen as finalists from among hundreds of founders
and owners in the Carolinas Region, the nomination is an outstanding accomplishment. The award
recognizes “ingenuity, hard work and innovation to those who have created a successful and
growing business.”
Allyson Way Hank Named President of Sovereign Homes
Sovereign Homes, a Mungo Company, is pleased to announce that Allyson Way Hank has been named President.
Allyson has been with the Mungo organization since 2002, and was most recently a project manager for
Sovereign Homes and Mungo Homes.
