(Raleigh) - 1st American Builders, A Mungo Company is proud to have been recognized at the recent Raleigh-Wake County MAME Awards for 2009. The company was honored for The Richard model and for the sales center at Southview Pointe.
The Richard at Ashford in Fuquay-Varina was recognized for Best Merchandising for a detached model in the $175,000 - $250,000 range. The two-story, 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath home features a bonus room, office and breakfast nook and the color orange takes center stage. Orange is one of the hottest current design trends and, appearing in unexpected ways, "pops" against a neutral backdrop of tans, greens and black. Orange is mentally stimulating and "sociable", according to one national designer: it is happy and cheerful and is used as a memory point for buyers.
The sales center at Southview Point in Fuquay Varina was recognized as Best Model Home Sales Center. A design loosely based on Central Perk or Starbucks, the sales center features a non-threatening atmosphere that's relaxed and comfortable created to target the Y Generation. The coffee shop or Internet cafe concept includes a casual seating area, bar stools and two flat panel televisions using technology to appeal to this "got to have it now" generation.
1st American Division President Geoff Shiley said, "Because of the number of homes currently on the market, it's even more important than ever for builders to stay in touch with what appeals to today's buyer. Our recent awards affirm that we're right on target; and we're committed to designing and building homes that are the best combination of location, quality and price throughout the Triangle area."
