Can we choose options, finishes and colors?

You certainly can! We have a full display design center and dedicated consultant ready to work with you, assisting in the process of choosing ideal finishes and colors from our extensive selection. 

Can we make changes to your plans?

Yes, we allow changes to our plans. Some collections allow more changes than others and in some cases may require a redesign fee.

Will you build outside of the coverage area?

Our building area is defined by our ability to commit to efficient management of all of our construction projects, all to ensure we deliver your home on time, with the exceptional quality we promise. Depending on your specific location, we may be able to build outside of our current coverage area, though this may incur an additional fee. Please consult with our Home Specialist for more information.

Does your base price include permit costs?

For all homes built in our pre-defined building areas, the cost of permits is included in our base price.

What contributes to the final cost of the home?

The total cost of your new home will include the base price of the house, plus any costs associated with site evaluation and any upgrades and/or modifications to the plan or selections.

Do you provide in-house financing?

We do not provide in-house financing. However, we can put you in contact with experienced loan officers who can walk you through the process step-by-step.

Can I purchase the lot and the home at the same time?

Yes. Although the purchase of the land is a separate transaction with another seller, there are many loan packages that will combine the purchase of the land while also providing funds for construction of the home at the same time. We will be happy to put you in touch with a mortgage loan officer to walk you through the process.

Will we meet on-site?

During your initial consultation with our Home Specialist, we will determine which plans are feasible to build on your land and provide an initial estimate for variable site costs. We will also conduct a formal follow-up assessment on-site to confirm or adjust our initial estimate. This on-site meeting takes place before your contract is finalized but after you have approved Loan Pre-Qualification.


Does Mungo offer turnkey services for building on my land?

We offer a complete turnkey operation and can handle all aspects of the building process, including permits, code compliance, inspections, floor plan selection, home construction, and selection assistance with our design consultant. 

What is the time frame to build our home?

Depending on the location of your land and the size of the plan you choose, it will take between five and seven months from the start of construction to complete a home chosen from our portfolio. A custom home build will will take a bit longer. Our Home Specialist will assist you in creating a realistic timeline.

Where can we review the Mungo portfolio of floor plans?

You can view all of the available plans and elevations to build on your land here. Additionally, you can sort through plans based on square footage, number of bedrooms, and more on our Find a Home page

What items are not included in the base price of your homes?

The items not included in our base prices—but still quoted as home site variables—are: surveying; initial clearing and tree removal; water and sewer systems; floor plan changes; upgraded selections such as light fixtures, appliances, and other finishes; driveway surface beyond what is in the allowance; finish landscaping; and any Architectural Review fees. We can either facilitate/manage these items or provide bids for complete installation.
