July 18, 2012

The Mungo Companies has received the 2012 Green Advocate of the Year Award presented by the National Association of Home Builders.

The NAHB recognizes individuals, companies and organizations for excellence in residential green design and construction practices, as well as for green building programs and advocacy efforts.  Each home and development is scored according to the National Green Building Standard to ensure fair comparisons for judging. Mungo’s exclusive hauSmart Program was instrumental in winning this prestigious award.

Chad Riedy, Program Director of Green Building Technology with the National Association of Home Builders, said:  “You should be extremely proud as this year’s competition was particularly intense given the quantity and quality of the entries we received from green building industry leaders.”

Always forward-thinking, The Mungo Companies has a history of being a leader in sustainability with a conscience about the environment and future generations.  When hauSmart, developed exclusively by Mungo, was introduced, the building professionals stood up and took notice. The hauSmart innovation puts homes on the cutting edge of efficiency, affordability and convenience. The Mungo Companies employ progressive construction techniques to create homes that are healthier and more cost-efficient to operate.
