During a recent visit to the Mungo Homes headquarters in Irmo, SC, Arbor Homes President Curtis Rector was presented with the Community Builder Award at a meeting with Mungo Executive Team Members.  

The Community Builder Award, established in 2014 to commemorate Mungo’s 60th anniversary, and as a tribute to and in the spirit of company-founder, the late Michael J. Mungo, who had a legacy of quiet and often anonymous generosity.  The Community Builder Award recognizes those who selflessly and quietly contribute to others in a positive way: those who are true Community Builders.  

The recognition of Arbor Homes was in appreciation for their generous donation of $6500 towards the college scholarship fund for Isabella and Gabriella Leonardi, the beautiful daughters of Mungo Homes’ Builder Buddy Leonardi lost to COVID-19 in 2021.

The donation was the proceeds of funds raised at the annual Arbor Homes company golf outing at Ironwood Golf Course in Fishers, Indiana, with nearly 200 Arbor Team Members participating.

“Given everything that has happened at Mungo this year, we wanted those funds to go to Buddy’s wife, Amanda.  We hope the donation is one way that Arbor can extend its heartfelt sympathies towards the family during this difficult time,” said Ben Watkins, Chief Marketing Officer.
