Military Hero Receives Keys to Mortgage-free Mungo HomeApril 4, 2025

Mungo Homes recently partnered with Wells Fargo and the Military Warrior Support Foundation to provide a combat-wounded veteran with a new, completely mortgage-free home in Tatum Crossing in Ludowici, GA. This partnership through the Homes4WoundedHeroes initiative provides service members and their families with move-in ready homes that can be accommodated for injuries and located in safe areas with quality school districts. Retired U.S. Army Sergeant First Class Tyler Vaughn Welty marks the most recent recipient of the program.
SFC Welty and his family saw their brand-new home for the first time during a key presentation ceremony on Tuesday, March 25th. After an honor guard presentation of colors by the Long County High School ROTC, representatives from Mungo Homes, Wells Fargo, and the Military Warriors Support Foundation delivered remarks, expressing gratitude to SFC Welty for his service. Supporters and distinguished guests, including Georgia Governor Brian Kemp, gave remarks. First Lady Marty Kemp, who has supported programs to address housing insecurity, was also in attendance at the ceremony.
