MTC Building Construction Team Places 2nd at 2023 SkillsUSA Nationals!July 20, 2023

Midlands Technical College’s Building Construction team, sponsored by Mungo Homes and the Michael J. Mungo Foundation, placed second in the nation during the 2023 SkillsUSA National Leadership & Skills Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. The competition was hosted at the World Congress Center where an estimated 6,094 students competed in this year’s national championship. Student teams competing in the Building Construction category had to construct a mock-up residential house in two days fitted with electrical, plumbing, masonry and roofing.
