Mungo Homes Gives Back During 2026 Week of ServiceMay 13, 2026

The Mungo Homes Foundation completed its fifth annual Week of Service from May 4th through 8th, completing 1,696 volunteer hours in our ten markets. Team members across the organization pitched in on a variety of volunteer projects, from building ramps to walking dogs to painting murals.

Columbia, South Carolina
In Columbia, team members supported seven organizations across the area. Volunteers worked with Senior Resources by packing food for a Meals on Wheels delivery and doing yardwork for the Lourie Center. At the Irmo Chapin Recreation Center, the team supported the Therapeutic Recreation program by cleaning and painting. Team members also built a home ramp with Emmanuwheel, processed donations at the Oliver Gospel Mission Thrift Store, and washed and walked dogs at Final Victory Animal Rescue. Lastly, they made blankets for Homeless No More and volunteered with Family Promise of the Midlands by painting exterior doors.

Charleston, South Carolina
On Tuesday, Charleston team members worked with the Coastal Community Church clothing ministry team to unload, sort, and prepare a large clothing donation.
Charlotte, North Carolina
The Charlotte team partnered with Nourish Up to deliver groceries to families and indiviudals in need on Wednesday.

Greenville, South Carolina
Before Week of Service, the Greenville team presented checks to three local organizations in support of their missions. During the week, the team helped with landscaping at the Upstate Family Resource Center, walked dogs at Greenville County Animal Care, and prepared food at the Greer Soup Kitchen. They also packed and delivered “Staying Alive Kits” to FAVOR to support individuals in recovery. Team members will continue serving post-Week of Service with The Dream Center and Jumpstart.

Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
In Myrtle Beach, team members partnered with Habitat of Humanity of Horry County to support the construction of a home for an individual in need.

Raleigh, North Carolina
Our Raleigh team helped complete an apartment remodel for young adults transitioning out of foster care with The Hope Center at Pullen. They also partnered with the Realtor Giving Network to assemble 200 hygiene packets for unhoused women. After Week of Service, Raleigh team members will continue volunteering by picking up trash along the Nuese River and sorting donations at NeighborUp’s thrift store on REALTOR Give Back Day.

Richmond, Virginia
Team members in Richmond collected donation items and presented a check to the Ronald McDonald House in support of its mission. Throughout Week of Service, Richmond employees volunteered and presented checks to Wings of Hope Ranch and the Richmond SCPA and helped out at the King William Animal Shelter. The team wrapped up the week with trash pickup and maintenance with Chesterfield County Parks & Recreation.

Savannah, Georgia
Team members from Savannah repaired and cleaned up summer camp facilities at 7th Mile Farm, a summer camp and retreat center for children in foster care.

Wilmington, North Carolina
The Wilmington team helped out at the Grant’s Harbor Christian Recovery Center by beautifying the landscaping.

Winston-Salem, North Carolina
In the Triad, team members volunteered with a variety of organizations, including delivering and assembling beds for children and families in need with A Bed and a Book, packing and delivering meals for food-insecure children with the Forsyth Backpack Program, replacing a rotted-out ramp leading to the maintenance shed at Veterans Helping Veterans Heal, and adding murals at Youth Focus.
The Mungo Homes Foundation gives back throughout the year, including Week of Service in May and Week of Giving in December, fostering a commitment to the communities that we build in and enhancing the team member experience.
