The Mungo Homes Foundation in Raleigh recently presented a check for $10,000 to the Raleigh Regional Association of REALTORS® Giving Network to provide air conditioners for the Cool for Wake program, a seasonal weather relief program.

According to Sarah Edmundson of the Raleigh Regional Association of REALTORS® Giving Network, 33 units have been delivered so far this summer with another 10-15 anticipated by the end of August. “We are so grateful to the Mungo Homes Foundation for their generous donation. It ensures that we don’t have to turn anyone down and that we will be able to meet our goal of providing 40 AC units for the Cool for Wake program this year.”

The Wake County program identifies vulnerable residents who are adversely affected by extreme summer temperatures between May and September. Ms. Edmundson said that the donation by the Mungo Homes Foundation could help expand the Warm for Wake program to provide portable heaters during cold weather months.

About the Raleigh Regional Association of REALTORS® Giving Network

The RRAR REALTOR® Giving Network offers an opportunity for area Real Estate professionals to give back to the community where they work and live. While many Realtors enjoy helping clients find a home they love, that dream has become exponentially harder to achieve the past several years so they harness their collective power to serve those suffering from housing insecurity.
