Honoring Bill Dixon on his RetirementJuly 31, 2025

Mungo Team Members recently gathered in Columbia to honor Vice President of Land Acquisition & Development Bill Dixon upon his retirement after 38 years of service to the Mungo Company.

Bill said, “It’s not easy to put into words what this journey has meant to me, but I want to express my gratitude to Steven and Stewart Mungo. When I first started, I never imagined the path my career would take or the lifelong friendships I’d make along the way. I've been fortunate to work with so many talented, dedicated, and genuinely good people. I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished together.”

At the retirement gathering, brothers Stewart and Steven Mungo both lauded Bill not only for his immeasurable contribution to the organization, but to the overall housing landscape of the Greater Columbia area, with his land development expertise and exceptional vision. Bill has been instrumental in the success of neighborhoods such as Ascot, Bluefield, Ashford, and many, many others.

Bill’s easy smile, calm demeanor – whether interacting with an unhappy homeowner or a challenging government official – and his friendship will be missed.
