Mungo Homes Acquires Winston-Salem-based Shugart HomesJuly 1, 2019

Mungo Homes is pleased to announce it has acquired Shugart Homes of the North Carolina Triad, which includes Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and High Point.  Like Mungo Homes, Shugart began as a family-owned and operated business and has more than 50 years of experience in new home construction.  The two companies share not only a similar history, but company values that align and are based on customer service, quality, innovative building and design, and community reinvestment.

Mungo Homes and Clayton Properties Group, which acquired Mungo late last year, will help increase the purchasing power for Shugart, and the financial backing of one of the largest home-builders in the country will ensure long-term growth, stability, and success. 

Only positive changes for Shugart employees are expected, and there will be no change in management, with Vice President Brian Shugart continuing at the helm.
