Mungo Homes Completes 2025 Week of GivingDecember 15, 2025

The Mungo Homes Foundation donated $300,000 and team members put in 1,000 volunteer hours during the fifth annual Week of Giving from December 8th through 12th. Across the ten markets where Mungo builds, the Foundation organized check presentations and team members volunteered with local charities, embodying the mission “To serve so that others are empowered to thrive.” Keep reading to learn more about how each market gave back to their community.

Columbia, South Carolina
The Mungo Homes Foundation presented checks totaling $90,500 in Columbia to the following organizations: Ezekiel Ministries, the Irmo Chapin Recreation Commission Palmetto Enrichment Program, Wreaths Across America, the Will Shealy Memorial Fund and Scholarship Foundation, the Building Industry Association Charitable Foundation, the Jon Ryall Scholarship, Family Promise of the Midlands, and Palmetto Place.

The Columbia team also supported Families Helping Families in several ways, including gift wrapping.

Greenville, South Carolina

Greenville team members volunteered at the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital in Santa’s Workshop throughout the month of December. During the Week of Giving, they walked dogs at the Greenville Animal Hospital, served food at the Greer Soup Kitchen, and helped out at the Dream Center’s Santa Shoppe.

The team also presented checks totaling $40,000 to the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital, Daily Bread Ministries – Greer Soup Kitchen, Safe Harbor, Jumpstart, and the Upstate Family Resource Center.

Lastly, they spent time at the Upstate Family Resource Center supporting the Toy Wonderland.

Charleston, South Carolina

In the Charleston market, the Mungo Homes Foundation presented a check for $2,500 to Sleep in Heavenly Peace, an organization that builds beds for children in need. Along with the check, team members gave back by building ten children’s beds.


Additionally, Camp Rise Above received a $15,000 check to support their mission of providing camp experiences for children with illnesses and disabilities. Finishing the week strong, the Charleston market presented a check for $10,000 to Happy Wheels, who provides toys and books to hospitalized children.

Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

The Myrtle Beach market started off Week of Giving with a check presentation of $2,000 to the Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach to sponsor shelter pets.

Then, they presented a $5,000 check to SC Needs Help, a $5,000 check to Help 4 Kids/Backpack Buddies and a $5,000 check to Collin’s Kids for their “I Believe” fundraising event.

Charlotte, North Carolina

The Charlotte team gave a $5,000 check to Nourish Up and went out into the community to deliver groceries to community members who couldn't personally visit the food pantry.

Raleigh, North Carolina

Before the Week of Giving, the Raleigh market hosted a toy drive benefitting WakeMed Children’s Hospital. During the week, team members helped organize clothing donations at Note in the Pocket and wrapped gifts for the Salvation Army, Haven House Services, and the Central Children’s Home of North Carolina. They also helped organize food donations at the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina.

Along with the Raleigh Association of REALTORS®, the Raleigh team brought smiles to residents of the CASA King’s Ridge Apartment Complex by doing crafts and playing games.

In Raleigh, the Mungo Homes Foundation provided checks totaling $40,000 to A Place at the Table, the Hurricanes Sled Hockey Team, InterAct of Wake County, and the Realtor Giving Network.

Winston-Salem, North Carolina

In the Triad, team members volunteered at the American Legion, helping to repair the building.

On Wednesday, the team presented three checks: $5,000 to Forsyth Tech Cares, $3,000 to Youth Focus, and $5,000 to the Ronald McDonald House. Team members also volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House and with Veterans Helping Veterans Heal.

The Triad team presented a check for $20,000 to A Bed and A Book, and provided hands-on support by setting up beds for children in need. Team members closed out the week with a $3,000 check presentation to the Humane Society of Davie County and helped to assemble holiday gifts for the animals.

Wilmington, North Carolina
The Wilmington team kicked off the week with a facility tour and check presentation of $5,000 at Canines for Service, a service dog provider organization that supports veterans.

On Wednesday, team members presented a check for $10,000 to Nourish NC, an organization that provides healthy food to hungry children.

To finish out the week, the team presented a $5,000 check to Jimmy’s Bike Drive in support of their initiative to provide brand-new bikes to children for the holidays.

Savannah, Georgia

Before Week of Giving, the Savannah market supported Effingham Backpack Buddies with a stocking-stuffer drive. During the week, the team helped this organization pack stockings at their facility.  

On Wednesday, they also sorted and packed Christmas gifts for the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program.

Lastly, the team hosted a check presentation and provided $5,000 to the Resource Foundation of Jasper County, $5,000 to Shelter from the Rain, and $5,000 to The Button.

Richmond, Virginia  

The Richmond market got a head start on Week of Giving by hosting a toy drive during November for Big Brothers Big Sisters.

During the week, team members also visited the Goochland Animal Shelter to help care for animals and complete facility maintenance.

On Thursday, Richmond team members presented a $2,000 check to Wings of Hope Ranch, and wrapped up the week by delivering toy drive donations and a $2,000 check to Big Brothers Big Sisters.
